Global Health Security and Emerging Epidemics

Since novel and re-emerging infectious diseases remain threats to global health security, this public health session will emphasize pandemic readiness, rapid response, and collaboration to avoid and contain outbreaks. Innovations in vaccine production, early warning and detection, and enhancing resilience through improved public health policy will be the subject matter of expert speakers. The session will also discuss the role of international organizations in coordinating emergency response efforts. Lessons and best practices from previous pandemic case studies will also be addressed. The session will also strengthen science, policy, and community interface to develop a robust global health infrastructure.
