Samina Akhtar is a PhD candidate in Population and Public Health at Aga Khan University, where she also serves as an Instructor in Research. Her research focuses on the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with a particular emphasis on cardiovascular health. She is passionate about developing and implementing innovative, evidence-based interventions that promote healthier lifestyles in diverse populations. Her current PhD project is pioneering in Pakistan, introducing workplace-based interventions aimed at reducing cardiovascular risk among sedentary employees. Beyond research, she is dedicated to advancing public health practice through capacity building, collaboration, and policy-relevant contributions.
